Transport Policy and Statement of Intent

Finch Aggregates strive to prevent accidents and promote safe driving practices with consideration to the environment.

All drivers delivering on our behalf must do so in a manner that minimises the risk to the driver, other road users, customers, site personnel, cyclists and the general public.

Everyone delivering materials on our behalf must :

  • Be fully insured.
  • Hold an Operators Licence.
  • Have completed the necessary CPC training.
  • Hold a Class C or Class CE Driving Licence.
  • Hold an MPQC – MP connect card where appropriate.
  • Report accidents or near misses immediately to our Transport Department.
  • Take reasonable steps to eliminate or reduce risk by means of risk assessment, safe working procedures, training, regular vehicle inspection and maintenance.
  • Keep and maintain their vehicles to the highest standards.
  • Operate in line with current guidance and mandatory legislation, including the Highway Code, Freight Transport Association, Road Haulage Association, Mineral Products Qualification Council guidance and the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, as appropriate.
  • Not amend quarry weighbridge weights.
  • The quarry weighbridge Gross, Tare and Net weights must be accurately transposed onto Finch Aggregates delivery tickets /conveyance notes.
